Custom Saltwater Aquariums
We recently installed a large custom saltwater aquarium display that contains a Venetian Stone Stand. As you can see in the photo, we built a stone stand that matches the stone wall inside of our client's home in central New Jersey. The aquarium stand was made to look like an extension of the wall. Not only is this particular saltwater.
Did you know? Raw and pure sea salt contains more than just sodium chloride, it also contains many of the different trace minerals (e.g., calcium, potassium and magnesium) that the body needs to stay healthy and pH balanced. Our raw Himalayan sea salt, unrefined liquid colloidal sea salt from the Great Salt Lake in Utah, raw sea salt from the Dead.
There are many symbiotic relationships found in the sea that are fascinating to witness. We first posted about the symbiotic relationship between cleaner shrimp and fish last year, then we posted about the symbiotic relationship between gobies and pistol shrimp earlier this year, and now we are posting about the amazing symbiotic relationship between clownfish and sea anemones. This particular relationship.
Well, not exactly. Servicing a saltwater aquarium is difficult, especially for children. However, our children did have a lot of fun this week on "National Bring Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day". They enjoyed helping and watching us clean saltwater reef aquariums in the office of a well-known Orthodontist located in New Jersey. They also liked viewing all of.
Alkaline water is what is needed to be constantly flowing back into the ocean from rivers, streams and other bodies of freshwater (as it helps maintain the sea's proper pH balance and salinity levels). Alkaline water is filled with hydroxide ions (OH-) and many of what we call electrolytes, which help re-mineralize the bodies of all creatures in the sea and buffer.
Spring is here, and we can already hear birds chirping away in the trees as they begin to make new nests to replace their damaged or lost ones from the Winter...but there's another type of bird's nest that lasts all year round, and grows more beautiful with each passing day. We are referring to the "Bird's Nest Coral" found throughout the reefs.
Some of the most therapeutic and colorful saltwater aquarium displays we provide contain "schooling fish". Blue/Green Chromis, Cardinalfish, Heniochus (AKA Bannerfish), Tangs, Damselfish, Gobies, and Anthias are great schooling fish for a saltwater aquarium environment. The movement, behavior and coloring of these schooling fish are both amazing and relaxing to view. **The photo in this post shows Yellow Tangs schooling.
